Weather Update – Changes to Schedule at NZ Age Group Swimming Championships

Further to the update shared at the Team Managers Meeting this afternoon, and due to the current weather warnings, we regret to confirm that the two sessions scheduled for Sunday at the 2026 New Zealand Age Group Swimming Championships have been cancelled.

The programme will be revised as follows:

- All of Saturday's events will now be run as timed finals in the morning session on Saturday

- All of Sunday’s events will be held as timed finals in the afternoon session on Saturday

These decisions have been made after careful consideration and on the advice of Hawke's Bay Civil Defence Emergency Management Group and Hawke's Bay Regional Aquatic Centre, with the safety and well-being of all participants, officials, and spectators as our top priority.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility, and we will continue to keep you updated should any further changes be required.
